Capo d’Orlando Marina
A welcoming and well-served port as the perfect base for a cruise to Sicily.
The Sicilian marina opened its doors in 2017 and immediately became a flagship for yachting throughout the Mediterranean. Capo d’Orlando Marina is a true 5-star resort on the northeastern coast of Sicily, with a privileged location for sailing to the Aeolian archipelago. The impressive harbor basin houses 553 berths reserved for boats from 7.5 meters to 50 meters in length and mooring with dead-bulk traps, both along the quays and on floating docks: altogether it covers an area of 183,000 square meters. As of 2021, it is the only Sicilian port to have achieved Blue Flag Landings, and in 2024 it received Blue Marina Awards certification. Mooring at Capo d’Orlando means being assisted by a staff of mooring masters, available 24 hours a day for any need at the dock, and by front-office operators, always ready to introduce guests to the port’s services and knowledge of a wonderful stretch of Sicily. Elegant buildings complement the tourist infrastructure, enclosing within it a shipyard that offers technical assistance thanks to a 110-ton travel lift and a large area for boat storage and repair, a fuel station and a shopping arcade with boutiques, bars, restaurants, tobacconists, mini market, ship chandler and laundry. Opposite the entrance to the main wharf, a ceramic staircase leads to a 4-star hotel, the Sextant Marina Motel, with refined sea-view suites, a conference hall, and a Yacht Club with adjoining rooftop terrace.
The comfortable and perfect Marina for dream cruises
Within the Marina area one also discovers a pedestrian tourist route that highlights the protected archaeological site of the so-called Mercadante Quarries, a natural swimming pool where one can glimpse, especially at low tide, circular-shaped rocks from which oil mills were made.
