The choice of motor propeller is as important and worthy of attention as-if not more so-for other boat installation choices. Ewol has designed several very interesting propellers, such as the innovative one that can turn into a hydrogenerator and the small but powerful one for boats up to 10 meters. Here’s how they work.
A propeller that recharges batteries
If you are afraid of energy consumption in your boat, especially when you are on vacation, you have probably considered buying a hydrogenerator, a useful but expensive solution. With one product, however, thanks to Ewol, you can have both a propeller and a hydrogenerator: it’s called
EnergyMatic
. When sailing with the propeller in the charging position, EnergyMatic functions as an electric turbine that generates power by recharging the batteries. This propeller equipped with automatic return positions itself to flag without having to stop the shaft, thus without the need to turn off the engine and engage reverse gear. In addition, positioning itself with minimal resistance,
EnergyMatic
makes it possible to increase sailing speed by as much as 1.5 knots.
Ewol. The perfect propeller for boats up to 10 meters
A propeller particularly suitable for installation on boats from 6 to 10 meters is
Andromeda
from Ewol, a state-of-the-art flag propeller made entirely of high-strength stainless steels. It is very small in size, slim and streamlined but still powerful and suitable for engines from 7 to 30 horsepower. The nerve center of
Andromeda
consists of gears that allow the blades to orient and arrange themselves at the correct angle of incidence while sailing and motoring, thus improving the boat’s performance and saving fuel. In fact, the fully automatic blade orientation enables optimization of thrust during engine running, thus allowing high cruising speeds even at low engine speeds, resulting in reduced fuel consumption.
