This summer, St. Andrew’s Marina will have even more berths. Here’s why

In the beautiful setting of the Marano Lagoon, more precisely within the municipality of San Giorgio di Nogaro (UD), is the Shipyard & Marina Sant’Andrea, a nautical hub of reference in the North Adriatic. This port, already known for some of its facilities such as the Dry Marina, is undergoing a major transformation thanks to an ambitious expansion project that will make the facility even more modern and functional. Work is already underway and will be completed between May and June 2025, bringing significant news for shipowners and boaters.
A strategic port surrounded by nature
Situated in a prime location between Grado and Lignano Sabbiadoro, Marina Sant’Andrea is easily accessible by both sea and land. With its 700 berths available on land and in the water, the marina can currently accommodate boats up to 35 meters in length with a maximum draft of 4 meters.
The marina covers an area of more than 18 hectares, offering dedicated spaces for boat owners and their boats. Key services include covered storage sheds and facilities equipped for any refitting and maintenance work, guaranteeing technical support for all types of boats.
The ambitious modernization plan
The Marina Sant’Andrea expansion project includes significant interventions that will further improve the offerings for boaters. Among the main new features:
- 60,000 additional square meters, including new storage yards and new parking areas;
- 150 new onshore berths dedicated to crane pass/storage for boats between 8 and 14 meters;
- Fixed pontoons with service columns for water and electricity, designed to provide accessibility via metal stairs;
- New restrooms with modern toilets and showers;
- Shaded green areas that will enrich the surrounding environment;
- A walk along the river among the boats ashore, perfect for those who wish to immerse themselves in the unique atmosphere of the marina.
These improvements will not only increase the marina’s capacity, but also provide a more comfortable and enjoyable experience for the facility’s guests.
The current expansion represents only the first phase of a larger project that will see further development in the coming years. Among the planned future interventions is the construction of a new covered storage shed, with an area of approximately 3,000 square meters. This will enable the marina to accommodate boats up to 40 meters in length.
With new work underway and future plans, the facility will continue to meet the needs of discerning shipowners, offering excellent services in a unique natural setting.
