The Classic Boat Club is online and has already generated no small amount of feedback, indeed. Even more so, it is making its Official Register of Classic Boats of Historical Value., a portal dedicated to certifying the historical and collectible significance of individual hulls, emphasizing, in both practical and cultural terms, their new value. Dedicated to the enhancement of your hulls, this registry is, in fact, not only dedicated to the certification of beautiful boats of the last century, but it also wants to be a place of sharing, of celebration. That is why, the Classic Boats registered, are visible to all members, creating an online space to share, even more than before, the passion for sailing.
Explore the Official Registry of Classic Boats of Historical Value
As you will see, the Official Register of Classic Boats of Historical Value is designed for all those boat owners who take pleasure in enhancing the value of their hull, but not only that. The matter, in fact, goes one step further. On the one hand, sure, there is the registration, the issuance of a certificate and plaque for the boat, and the benefits (you can learn more HERE). On the other, however, there is the pleasure of sharing and the celebration of boating culture. This last front, is the first to start with. The Official Register, in fact, is a ‘consultable body,’ an online platform to which all Classic Boat Club members have access (find out HERE how to join). Basically it takes the form of an online page of the Classic Boat Club that, on the one hand, is apt to collect all registered boats, certifying them as being of Historical and Collector’s Value and, on the other hand, is instead a place of sharing, where each boat is searchable and complete with data, history and images. To understand us better, here are some of the boats, standard or one-off, that you may find enrolled there, starting with a unique treat…

Official Record: Brava, One-Off, Vallicelli
A superstar among the great classics of the IOR, one of the great boats already on the Official Register is her, the one that was Pasquale Landolfi’s first Brava, an excellent design by Vallicelli, now carefully guarded and celebrated by a now aficionado Dutch owner, Edwin Visser. Brava, built in aluminum by Minneford Shipyards of New York, is an IOR masterpiece, a medium-heavy displacement with graceful yet aggressive water lines. Strong with a very large maximum beam for her class, slightly set back, and bow lines that feature very narrow attack half-angles, she was a real missile, winning, between 1982 and 1983, everything there was to win. Italian Championships, the 1982 Sardinia’s Cup, and the 1983 Fastnet are, in fact, all her legendary achievements. With her, Pasquale Landolfi became the reference owner of Italian offshore and an icon of sailing. She is followed by six namesakes, four One Tonners, an ILC 40 and an IMS 50.

Official Record: S3pitosa, Selection 37
Among the production boats entered in the registry is S3pitosa, which is a spokesman for the Selection 37 series, the Janneau series made to replace the Rush at the 1984 Tour de France. A project signed Joubert and Nivelt who, inspired, created a small masterpiece in monotype with this one. Appreciated for racing and cruising, to this day, she is a little gem. Made by the yard in two distinct versions, Armatorial and racing (Royale Tour de France), S3pitosa represents, in this sense, the second one and, launched in 1988, has also had the opportunity to participate in more than one edition of this one. Today, properly refitted and carefully maintained, she continues to sail and, registered with the Registry, is a spokeswoman for this splendid production model.

Official Record: Falcon II, Baltic 43
The Baltic 43 was one among many outstanding hulls launched by the shipyard, both in concept and performance. Falcon II is an excellent example. A cruiser-racer of the highest caliber, she was designed by Judel Vrolijk with the endless lessons learned in designing their hulls for the Admiral’s Cup in mind and, adapting these to the needs of a fast cruising boat, she came to life, ranking well among the great 40-footers of her time. Solid, fast and with a more than refined interior, this is still an outstanding model today, capable of delivering a good deal of satisfaction, both when cruising and between the buoys. Official Record: Moby Dick, One-Off, Peterson
Built by Peppino Gallinari’s shipyard in Anzio, Moby Dick is a small masterpiece in laminated wood, made with four layers crossed and glued at 45° of 6-millimeter Okumè, at the time, the lightest in circulation. It will be such a perfect construction that it will beat, for lightness and rigidity, those made of aluminum. Today, refitted properly, she lives a new life, returned to her former glory and, moreover, back in family hands. The owner is, in fact, Lorenzo Bortolotti, who has been frequenting the local and other regatta fields since the 1970s. He is the one who recovered Moby Dick, the family hull, giving her back the prominence she deserves and her former glory after having sold her a good 40 years before…
