More power thanks to Boost, tiller control and even remote control: Remigo, super compact electric outboard gets a makeover. And it gets even more intriguing…
Upon its arrival RemigoOne immediately came to the attention of boaters for its functionality and its and its performance: it is a 1,000-watt electric motor (comparable to a 3 HP endothermic) with a totally innovative design.
His strengths?
– A monolithic aluminum and totally water-proof body that houses batteries and motor inside, as well as the torpedo for the propeller
– Push-button controls, optimized for electric use – Low weight (12 kg, plus dock for tender or boat, 2 kg)
– Super comfortable carrying position (with dedicated bag) – Quick attachment and release (no cables)
– Charging from zero to 220 in 3 hours (fast) or 6 hours (standard); 12 hours at 12 volts
– Range of 15 miles at cruising speed (30 in eco, 5 at max).
– Perfect for tenders (the engine itself acts as a rudder) than for small boats, up to about 8/9 m, where it gets stuck in the middle and the direction is given by the boat’s rudder.
The new RemigoNeo restarts from all this but in addition offers a 1500-watt Boost that brings total power to about 4 HP.
Even more interesting, however, is an accessory that Remigo has launched along with the Neo-and which is also compatible for RemigoOne: a dual control that can be both bar and remote (with Bluetooth connection)…
