Over the past year, the French shipyard has been rethinking, and streamlining its line. There are no longer the two separate ranges, the Performance and the Grand Large, but a single line with the ability to customize the boat to suit your needs. The significant aesthetic change is in the itch volumes, which are slightly flared near the deck to give the boat a more modern and sporty look.
The Dufour 470 combines both Dufour’s know-how and the brand’s desire for innovation. This model, in line with its predecessor, enjoys the shipyard’s DNA while offering a modern twist. As with the 530, the boat will be available in three versions because the shipyard has eliminated the division between the Performance and Grand Large lines, opting for a single hull that can be declined in different versions.
The “Easy” version is intended for owners and charter enthusiasts seeking simplicity and comfort. Also because, as on the 530, the deck motion plane allows for great mobility and newfound ergonomics.
Ocean version
The “Ocean” version is perfectly suited for owner use, thanks mainly to a deck layout with the rigging positioned close to the wheelhouse, to ensure ease of handling even when sailing with a small crew.
Performance Version
The “Performance” version is ideal for pure sailing enthusiasts and racers. With its six oversized winches, mainsail sheet point moved aft and “Performance” sail plan equipment, this model transforms into a snappy breeze chaser.
An interior layout in three versions
The Dufour 470 is available in four interior fittings. Every sailor will find what he or she is looking for, whether sailing with a large or small crew. Classic 3-cabin layout planned, 4+cabin sailor layout or 4 without or 3 with sailor cabin.
