THE DUTCH “DISPLACEMENT”
The first used boat we bring you comes from Holland and it is a bargain: it is a Hurley 800, a great little boat for tackling all the seas of the world. Built in 1990 by the Twente shipyard, it has been very successful because of its solidity: it is lightly sailed, very safe, equipped with a long keel and skeg and tiller steering. At 8.30 m long, it has a maximum beam of 2.75 m and weighs 3.2 tons with half the total weight displaced in the keel.
The raised deckhouse means that below deck (sleeps 5) the height is 1.82 meters, a lot for a boat of this size. The cost? 23,000 euros: the boat is visible in Marina di Grosseto. HERE THE FULL ANNOUNCEMENT
GREAT LITTLE CLASSIC
For 14,000 euros you are taking home a great little classic: it is a Show 29 from the Barberis shipyards. She is one of the masterpieces of Alain Jezequel, the French designer who is also “daddy” of the first Grand Soleils. At 8.90 m (by 2.98 beam, with a draft of 1.60), in those days, the living spaces above and below deck were at the top of the class. The Show 29 then in light winds was a very fast boat, thanks to the small wetted area. On deck appreciable was the large cockpit that took advantage of the rather set back aft beam. The interiors were offered in two versions that differed in the arrangement of the galley, either amidships or at the foot of the entrance depending on whether the deckhouse was long or short. A forward cabin with a double berth, a bathroom, a comfortable dinette and aft berths, at the sides of the cockpit. This model can be seen on Lake Garda. HERE THE FULL ANNOUNCEMENT
SELF-MADE AND PERFECT
“I reluctantly sell stupendous 8.35m sailboat made of sea-edge plywood and epoxy resin,” writes sailor Guido Iaquinti on our site. “Start 80 v2 model, design by Alessandro Cantini(www.acdesigngroup.net). Sturdy and fast launched on March 2, 2013. Included in the price paid berth until 31/12/2019.
I am selling due to move abroad: mainsail – jib – new furling jib – teak deck – spacious cherry wood interior (4+2 seats, dinette height 1.85m) – semi-new 16 hp Yanmar inboard engine – Raymarine navigation instruments – Raymarine autopilot – marine toilet – galley – etc…” The price of this used one? 20,000 euros, the boat is in perfect condition and can be seen in the Ligurian Sea.
