The CNB shipyard from 2021 is owned by Solaris, and during this two-year period the Italian management has been busy redefining its strategies and studying how to renew the range. At the Cannes Yachting Festival 2023 came the first step of this new era, the Philippe Briand-designed CNB 78 presented as a world premiere at the French show.
We were aboard the company’s new blue water cruiser to find out about its features and to get a closer look at how strategic the CNB brand is for Solaris.

The new CNB 78
With this model, CNB wanted to improve without distorting CNB 76. Building on the commercial success of its predecessor, which sold an impressive 32 units, CNB 78 has a slightly wider and more aggressive hull, with a double knee (the edge that marks the transition from bottom to side) and a slimmer deckhouse. Its iconic deckhouse, designed by Philippe Briand, now a hallmark of the shipyard, gives the salon below deck a unique panoramic view.
