This week we scouted for you five cruisers between 12 and 15 meters.

Bavaria, Jeanneau and Dufour. Three shipyards, five cruisers for sale, each with its own specific characteristics and ready to meet the most diverse needs, whether on the size front, the aesthetic front or the age front. Launched between 1992 and 2011, here are the five hulls for sale ranging from 39 to 50 feet.

BAVARIA 38 MATCH (11.36 m)

We start with the Bavaria 38 Match (11.36 x 3.71 m), a cruiser that does not, however, disdain racing, as the signature she bears, that of Peterson, might already suggest. Not for nothing, a 2003 hull in fact won the 2021 Brindisi Corfu…

Launched in 2004, this specific Bavaria has been regularly maintained and is in excellent condition, ready to sail right out of the box. She sees a recently serviced 2021 Volvo Penta 39 hp installed and, on board can accommodate up to 8 people, offers 3 distinct cabins.

SUN ODYSSEY 42 DS (12.93 m)

Looking at Jeanneau production, the Sun Odyssey 42 DS (12.93 x 4.11 m) is positioned as a nearly 13-meter cruiser designed specifically for cruising, and thus strong on bright and particularly spacious interiors. The design dates from 2007, signed by Lombard, and boasts a distinctive deckhouse, strong with large openings to give the interior as much light as possible.

Launched in 2010, the model for sale offers 3 separate cabins, although it is equipped to accommodate up to 8 passengers. In terms of engines, however, it boasts a 54-horsepower Yanmar 4JH4E. It has been regularly maintained and is also suitable for immediate use.

SUN ODYSSEY 439 (13.39 m)

Also built by Janneau, but more modern than its predecessor, the Sun Odyssey 439 (13.39 x 4.24 m) was launched in 2011. Designed by Briand, it is a hull designed for cruising and offers large interior volumes, as well as a particularly spacious cockpit, ideal both while sailing and while relaxing.

Launched in 2011, the 439 for sale, which can be seen in Rosignano Solvay, as well as having been regularly maintained, boasts a maximum capacity of 10 passengers, as well as 4 separate cabins, two of which are double aft. Installed on board is a 54-horsepower Yanmar engine and a 3-bladed, fixed propeller.

BAVARIA 50 CRUISER (14.98 m)

Back to Bavaria and, with the 50 Cruiser (14.98 x 4.67 m), we are confronted with a not inconsiderable 50-footer. Designed by Farr Yacht Design and launched in 2005, it is yes a hull geared toward cruising, but still not disdaining fun, thus offering a package ready to satisfy both relaxation and adrenaline seeking.

The 2008 model for sale offers 5 cabins and can accommodate up to 11 passengers; it has been regularly maintained and is ready to sail. The engine, a 75-horsepower Volvo Penta, has been receptively serviced while, the sails, are from 2018.

DUFOUR 39 (11.98 m)

Last, but not because it is larger than the previous ones, is a Dufour 39 (11.98 x 3.80 m), a gem of the Classic Boat world. Designed in 1982 and under construction for over a decade, the 39′ is indeed a great hull of the period. Signed by Frers, it presents itself as a cruiser not oblivious to performance, and thus offers both good, comfortable interior volumes and a powerful hull suitable for a wide variety of sailing.

Built in more than 160 models, the Dufour 39 is a particularly ‘seaworthy’ hull, a good 12 meters ideal both for comfortable sailing and for seeking competition in circuits that ‘accept’ the ‘older’ ones. The model for sale is from 1992 and can be seen in the west of Genoa.
