Perhaps it is indeed true that something in the world of sailing and design applied to it is changing. The Sunbeam Yachts shipyard, an iconic Austrian brand, is known to boat enthusiasts for producing rather classic, marine models, world tour boats or at best small cruisers with a sporty touch. The news of the launch of the new Sunbeam 32.1 has displaced everyone a bit, not because of the news itself, but because of the concept of the boat that Sunbeam has proposed, something that decides to decisively break with tradition.

In fact, the new 32.1 will have very little to do with its predecessors, except for the build quality and craftsmanship; otherwise, it is a completely new boat vision. The look is extremely modern and sporty, with flared front volumes and an inverted bow. The design was entrusted to the usual J&J firm, with input from industrial designer Gerald Kiska. One thing seems certain, the Austrian shipyard is keen to keep up with the times and also target a younger audience. Hence the choice of a cutting-edge look and a philosophy that almost looks at the daysailer world. In fact, the boat brings together some of the most contemporary avant-garde design trends inspired by the world of sports and racing boats. Inside, the volumes are totally open space, for a boat designed for a public that wants to experience it on short, fun outings where it is mostly sailed.

In short, a boat all to be discovered when it arrives on the water, which in the market also aims to seek a change of audience in the Sunbeam clientele, looking for a somewhat younger type of sailor than in the past and with somewhat different tastes.
