RAN 630, registration open
Online registration is now open for the 2024 edition of the RAN 630 offshore regatta , organized by the Livorno Yacht Club in cooperation with the Naval Academy and the Livorno Navy Sailing Section “Riccardo Gorla.”

The 630-mile offshore regatta on the Livorno, Porto Cervo, Faraglioni di Capri, Livorno course will take place April 23-May 1, 2024 under the auspices of the IVF and UVAI and will be a valid round for the Italian Offshore Championship with coefficient 3.
Who will be there at RAN 630
As always, a number of Navy sailboats will be at the start, including Gemini, a 1983 First Class IOR designed by Andrea Vallicelli. Boats of Italian or foreign military corps also compete for the Medaglia d’Oro al Valor Militare Capitano di Corvetta Saverio Marotta Trophy, which is reserved for them.

Among the sailors who will be present at this seventh edition are some well-known names: Australian Mitch Booth, a two-time Olympic medalist on the Tornado, will be with Pietro D’Alì on Franco Niggeler’s Cookson 50 Kuka; Dario Noseda will be skipper of ASD Acquaaria’s Sintesi 36 Kokopelli.
Do you want to participate but don’t have a boat? Or do you have the boat but are looking for crew? At this link is the “seeking/offering boarding” section for the regatta.

630 relies on the technical cooperation of the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda and the Yacht Club Capri for the competitors’ passages at their respective course gates. The start will be given by a blank shot from a Navy Naval Squadron Unit at sunset time on April 24, which will be followed by a night sail with full moon. The award ceremony will take place on the afternoon of Wednesday, May 1, 2024. The Naval Squadron’s Command-in-Chief Operations Center will monitor the entire regatta to ensure the best safety conditions for competitors.
RAN 630 partners include Officine Gullo, Locman and One Ocean Foundation.
