There is an opportunity to experience, live, the brand new Lagoon 38 catamaran (11.38 x 6.65 m). Mark it in your diary: next June 6 and 7 the “green marina” Cala dei Sardi, located in the gulf of Cugnana, in the heart of Costa Smeralda will host Lagoon Days, an exclusive event organized by the Italian dealer NSS Yachting: on this occasion (two open-door days dedicated to catamaran enthusiasts) you will be able to get on board – it’s an Italian premiere – of the new “entry level” of the French shipyard that is part of the Beneteau Group.
Discovering the new Lagoon 38
We previewed the Lagoon 38 at the La Grande Motte Multihull Show (video below), and we recommend that you go and meet it live as well.
What boat is the new Lagoon 38
It is the shipyard’s new entry-level, a boat that arrives with the not-so-easy mission of picking up the legacy of historic models such as the Lagoon 380, which arrived in 1999 , sold over 1,000 units and brought a generation of sailors closer to the world of multi, and the Lagoon 40 (launched 2017) the shipyard’s other long seller.
The weapons to do this are Lagoon’s well-known ones: a spasmodic focus on functionality and cruising needs.
Point of departure is the solution already adopted also on the Lagoon 43 to put in direct communication cockpit and interior salon thanks to the presence of a large sliding door and the two tables, in the two rooms, that can be joined and accommodate to eat up to 10 people. In addition, the very forward position of the mast made it possible to make the cockpit even larger, which has a sofa area on the left and access to the wheelhouse on the right.
This is on the fly and those at the helm can keep an eye on all the maneuvers on board. On the “upstairs,” a sundeck and solar panels also find their place.
Another new feature of the Lagoon 38 is the new design of the stern decks that are more accessible both from the water and from the dock when the boat is berthed at the English berth. As for the interior, there are two configurations available: with three cabins and two bathrooms, with the port hull designed exclusively for owners, and one with four cabins and two bathrooms.
Late to June available for charter
Starting at the end of June, Simone Morelli, founder of the NSS group, tells us, she will join the NSS Charter fleet right at the Cala dei Sardi base, and will then be available for those who want to spend a catamaran vacation in comfort and freedom. “Presenting the national premiere of the new Lagoon 38 is an important recognition for NSS Yachting. It will be a unique opportunity to see and appreciate up close a boat that represents a perfect balance between small size and generous space on board,” says Morelli.
Book yourself in for Lagoon Days
During Lagoon Days it will also be possible to visit the other models in the range: Lagoon 42, 46, 51, 55, the Sixty5 and the Seventy8, for a complete overview into the Lagoon world. Admission for Lagoon Days is free, but reservations are recommended for access aboard the boats.
