AAA: Do you know the history of this boat? Nana, Carlini X S&S, 1968

Sometimes the history of a boat can be lost, untraceable in the succession of hands and owners. Often, and especially, this happens to series, but old one-offs may not necessarily suffer the same fate. Such is the case with Nana, designed by Sparkman & Stephens and launched by Carlini in 1968, a twin of Heron. Today, her current owners (as of 2023) make an appeal: does anyone know her story?

Nana, as far as we know, was born in 1968, launched by Carlini Shipyards and designed by the New York firm Sparkman & Stephens. She is 10.68 meters long, is made of mahogany planking with laminated laminated frames, has trim tabs and, it would seem, is a twin of the better-known Heron. In 2023 she was purchased in Varazze by the current owners, who have carried out her restoration. Before then, however, darkness.
