How to participate in VELA Cup 2025 even without a boat or crew

There is great news at the VELA Cup 2025: the “Seeking/Offering Boarding” service is now active for all seven legs of the circuit! Whether you are an owner looking for a crew, a novice skipper wishing to complete your team with a few experts or enthusiasts, or an enthusiastic sailor without a boat, it makes little difference: participating in the VELA Cup has never been easier. We explain in this article how to do it.

In three clicks you can find a boat (or crew) for the VELA Cup

To access the boarding search and offer service, all you need to do is have a Facebook account, just log on to the official page of the VELA Cup, enter the dedicated discussion and post your information: who you are, your experience or details about your boat.

Don’t miss your chance to find boarding or get the right crew-there’s no excuse to miss the VELA Cup this year! The first two stages are those of the VELA Cup Liguria, May 2-4, and of the VELA Cup Toscana – Triton Cup, from May 23 to 25, a special edition dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the Giornale della Vela, with a Big Party that lasts the whole weekend.

– Log on to the VELA Cup Facebook page
– Search for the leg you are interested in attending among the VELA Cup events
– Find the “Seeking/Offering Boarding” discussion
– Make a post indicating some info about yourself: your first and last name, your boating experience, and the role you would like or are able to fill (e.g., helmsman, bowman, etc.).
– Any useful details

If you offer boarding

– Log on to the VELA Cup Facebook page
– Search for the leg you need crew for among the VELA Cup events
– Find the “Seeking/Offering Boarding” discussion
– Make a post indicating some info about yourself and your boat: your full name, the name and model of the boat with a brief description (size, type of boat) your boating experience and the role you would like or are able to fill (e.g., helmsman, bowman, etc.)
– Any requirements (minimum experience, specific skills).
