Arca SGR triumphs in real time at 151 Miglia-Trofeo Cetilar 2025
It was the 100′ maxi Arca SGR, with Trieste skipper Furio Benussi at the helm, that crossed the finish line in Punta Ala first at 5:51 this morning after a tactically flawless race. The boat took line honors in the 151 Miglia-Trofeo Cetilar 2025 and it was his fourth success, following editions in 2021, 2022 and 2024. With a final time of 15 hours, 48 minutes and 8 seconds, the boat thus wins the first of the two Challenge Trophies up for grabs, the one reserved for the first boat across the finish line in real time. She thus joins in the hall of fame the other maxi, Nicola Paoleschi’s Pendragon, with four victories each at the 151 Miglia. “First of all I want to congratulate the organization for the new course: it is beautiful, we really enjoyed it in every aspect,” said Furio Benussi . “Special thanks go to my crew, who were perfect in their tactical choices and maneuvers. We once again demonstrated the strength and cohesion of our team. Winning a regatta like the 151 Miglia, to which I am particularly attached, is a double satisfaction.”

What about the rest of the fleet?
Rounding out the podium was Roberto Lacorte’s foil Flying Nikka in second place, some 3 hours and 23 minutes behind Arca SGR. Despite less-than-ideal weather conditions due to poor wind that did not keep her flying as hoped, the boat still delivered a solid performance. “We are very satisfied: to finish second is a great result. The boat responded well despite the little wind, thanks to the extraordinary work of our shore team and crew,” Lacorte explained. “Congratulations to Arca SGR, a well-deserved victory.” In third place is Ice Yachts/Malgara’s 78′ Nice, followed by Guido Paolo Gamucci’s Mylius 60 Cippa Lippa X and Carlo Puri Negri’s Farr 70 Atalanta II.
Appointment in Punta Ala
Meanwhile, the rest of the fleet is still at sea, en route to the Punta Ala Marina, where a regatta village has been set up and will remain open all night to welcome the arriving crews. There is great anticipation to know the winner of the second Challenge Trophy, the one awarded to the boat first in the overall ORC International standings.
